En 1994, Sarah Brightman y Placido Domingo ofrecieron un total de dos conciertos operísticos especiales, en las ciudades de Kyoto y Nagoya, en el país de Japón.

El 17 de noviembre del 2001, para conmemorar la inaguración del estadio de "Toyota" en la ciudad de Aichi, Japón, Sarah Brightman y Jose Carreras se presentaron con el concierto especial, titulado "Toyota Stadium Concert", en el que asistieron unos 5 mil aficionados.
Shinji Tanimura fue el anfitrión de la noche, al interpretar junto con Brightman y Carreras, el tema éxito en japonés, "Subaru", como última pieza.
Un total de 21 canciones, entre musicales, ópera y pop, el imprecionante dúo que anteriormente habian cantado en los juegos Olimpicos de Barcelona de 1992 agradecieron a la audiencia por la gran noche.
